Javanese local wisdom values for development from an Islamic perspective

IntroductionJavanese culture was considered rich of values that are in line with Islamic teachings. However, studies on how this can contribute to development perspective still limited.ObjectivesThis study analyzes the local wisdom Javanses support economic from an perspective. The studied contained traditions merti dusun, nyadran, and wiwitan. MethodThis using ethnographic approach focus is three villages Bantul, Yogyakarta. Interviews, observation, field notes were used gather data. Three phases complete analysis: data reduction, reporting, conclusion-making. ResultsThe findings demonstrate each ritual tradition infused religious social ideals, as well cooperation, environmental stewardship, responsibility, patience, harmony, deliberation. It also demonstrates control.
